Building a website doesn’t have to be complicated and it is all about taking small, simple steps.

If you are new to websites, adding a blog might sound technical, but it’s actually one of the easiest ways to start sharing updates, tips, or stories.

In this post (and the video that goes with it), I’ll show you exactly how to add a blog page to your website.

No jargon, no rush,  just a clear walkthrough you can follow at your own pace.

1. Create Your Blog Page.

Open your website settings and click Add Subpage.

Name it Blog, then click Add Page.

Once that’s done, go back  you will now see your new Blog page listed.

2. Add the Blog App.

On your Blog page, click a content block.

Scroll right down to the bottom and choose Apps → Blog.

This adds the Blog module to your page automatically.

3. Manage Your Blog Settings.

Go to Manage Module → Settings. Here you can:

• Choose between a list or grid layout
• Set how many posts appear per page
• Show navigation below posts
• Sort post order
• Display dates
• Enable or disable comments

When you’re happy, click Save Changes.

4. Add Your First Blog Post.

Go back to your Blog page and click New Post. You can:

• Add an image
• Write a post title and subtitle
• Add your content
• Save as draft or Publish

Once published, your post will appear on the Blog page — ready for visitors to read.

5. Customise Your Blog Layout.

Inside the editor, you can:

• Add more text blocks
• Insert headers, lists, tables, alerts, or code
• Use raw HTML to embed videos (like in this tutorial)

This gives you full control over how your posts look and feel.

6. Final Check.

When everything’s set up, your blog will display your posts clearly with images, titles, and navigation.

It’s a simple, flexible way to share updates, tutorials, or news with your visitors.
